If the base is 34.4 feet, that means the short leg of each triangle is half of that, or 17.2 feet.

So now, you have two triangles with legs of 17.2 feet and 55.5 feet.

Use the Pythagorean Theorem:

a² + b² = c²

----> (17.2)² + (55.5)² = c²

----> 295.84 + 3080.25 = c²

----> 3376.09 = c²
